In July 2024, surgeons at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center successfully implanted the world’s first BiVACOR Total Artificial Heart as part of an FDA Early Feasibility Study.

The achievement represented a major milestone in cardiovascular medicine, but communicating its significance required careful coordination across multiple organizations, including The Texas Heart Institute, Baylor College of Medicine, Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center, BiVACOR, physicians, researchers, and regulatory stakeholders.
